Krug Family Properties was founded in 1969 by Norman Krug and today owns and operates two popular Northern California Wine County hotels—the BEST WESTERN PLUS Sonoma Valley Inn in Sonoma and the BEST WESTERN PLUS Dry Creek Inn in Healdsburg.
For our family, the Wine Country hotel business is a labor of love dating back four generations. As Polish immigrants who arrived in San Francisco just before World War I, we quickly discovered the allure of Sonoma Wine Country. Since the 1920’s, we’ve been active in Sonoma County, spending family vacations and, ultimately, building homes and businesses here.
Our affinity for the area defines the spirit of our family business—two welcoming hotel properties, each centrally located in a key Sonoma County Wine Country destination. Sonoma and Healdsburg are communities that share similar charm and characteristics—casual elegance and a relaxing vibe. Both have a central town plaza with distinctive shops, restaurants, and galleries. The art, food, and wine, “Sonoma County style,” beckon travelers from all over the globe, and the Krug family is proud to show you the place we call home during your visit.
There is a Krug Event Center at both inns honoring our parents and grandparents, Richard and Theresa Krug, whose dedication to the traditional values of hard work and importance of family, continues to inspire and motivate
us as we help create experiences for other families.
