Speaking about Death won't make it happen any sooner. In fact, studies have shown that being prepared for that final chapter of life brings a comforting preciousness to the days of our lives and may help relieve some of the anxiety of the unknown. Decisions based on values and wishes can be made in a calm reflective time, creating space for being present. The unspoken can be said between loved ones and those estranged. Let's get comfortable with the subject. Here's an opportunity to create a safe place to explore with curiosity your internal thoughts with the goal of being prepared. Spiritual tools will be explored and questions will be posed taking you deeper into your thoughts about death, your values, and your relationships. There will be time to write and share your reflections. You will receive an email with the Zoom Room address after you have registered. (Not instantly, though.) Sharon Ziff, RN retired after 12 years working at Memorial Hospice. As a Hospice Nurse, she was drawn to learn more about how we, as a society and as individuals, have treated aging, illness and death. She has dedicated herself to breaking the taboo of speaking about death and to helping her community gain the knowledge to best prepare themselves and their families for a good final chapter and a death with dignity.
