In the color plying class students will learn about various results from different plying techniques and various ways of preparing roving to get different results. Students will see the difference of using Navajo or chain plying to retain color separation, fractal plying to achieve different looks, plying against itself or plying with another color, and barber pole plying. We will also explore spinning burly singles versus thin 2ply with the same color roving. At the end of the class we will briefly talk about knitting/crochet with background colors, accent colors, small and large color patterns and Fibonachi and Kaffee Fasset's use of color.
