Sony Holland started her career as lead singer for a rock band in the Midwest. She moved to Nashville and experienced the country music scene. Sony also has a love for jazz. She has incorporated all these types of music in her performances. But for this wine country performance, Sony is going back to her roots: Classic Rock. She has been known to perform the songs of: Bruce Springsteen, Beatles, Elton John, Linda Ronstadt, Rolling Stones, Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Michael Nesmith, Janis Joplin, James Taylor, Carole King, Jackson Browne, Shirelles, Rufus Wainwright, Dusty Springfield, Smokey Robinson, Judy Collins, Bob Dylan, Etta James, Grateful Dead, Chuck Berry, Martha & the Vandellas, Four Seasons, Roy Orbison, Roberta Flack, Buddy Holly, Flamingos, Everly Brothers, Little Anthony & the Imperials, Paul Williams, and Heart. Sony has headlined at Yoshi’s, SFJAZZ, Top of the Mark, Sweetwater, Fenix, Sausalito Art Festival, completed a three year residency at SF Ritz-Carlton, and opened for George Benson at Rodney Strong. She has performed internationally in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Japan, Paris, New York City, Nashville, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Denver. She has recorded seven albums. Accompanying her on guitar will be songsmith Jerry Holland, who penned the #1 country hit song “Friends” for John Michael Montgomery. Concert is included with paid wine tasting.
